The International Climbers’ Festival was established in 1994 by climbers for climbers. Now in its 29th year of existence, over 600 climbers annually descend upon the small western town of Lander, Wyoming for the celebration of climbing and the climbing lifestyle. Climbers from all around the globe have made the voyage to Lander to celebrate climbing, listen to great music, enjoy friendly competitions, drink beer and climb together.
A lot has changed in the climbing world since that summer in 1994 when the Festival began. Here in Lander, hundreds of additional routes have been developed, new crags have been discovered, and there are more great places to eat or get a beer. But a lot has stayed the same, too. Wild Iris Mountain Sports is still the one-stop shop for info and gear for Wyoming climbing. The Lander Bar is still the place to grab a burger and cool off with a brew after a day of climbing. City Park still offers free camping. And Lander is still a fantastic place to climb, meet friendly people, enjoy the outdoors, and perhaps stay a while.

COVID-19 NOTICE: The health and safety of our event attendees and local residents is of the utmost importance to us. The International Climbers' Festival (ICF) management plan includes precautions to reduce the spread of COVID-19. The risk of spreading/contracting COVID-19 during the ICF cannot be eliminated, but we will employ strategies to reduce that risk.
We request all attendees to have negative COVID-19 test results and/or be fully vaccinated in order to attend the event. We will be holding all official ICF events in spaces that allow for social distancing.
THIS IS NOT YOUR ACTUAL TICKET! Register at the WyoClimbers booth located in front of Wild Iris Mountain Sports in Lander WY, between 9 am and 6 pm on Thursday, July 14th, 2022 or at City Park anytime after 7 am on Friday, July 15th. All attendees must sign a release form. Your ticket (a temporary tattoo) will be provided, along with your swag bag and other festival materials. Swag bags are only guaranteed during Thursday registration!
International Climbers’ Festival Participants must follow the Food Storage Special Order, and Leave No Trace practices while recreating on the Shoshone National Forest.
